3D origami dragon by Atriee 3D origami dragon by Atriee
Oh yeah......
One of my biggest works.....
My friend had birthday on Thursday and her big love is China so I made her a big origami dragon!
It hasnít got any wings because when I was looking to some pictures on the Internet I found out that Chinese dragon usually donít have any.
The original idea was, of course, totally alike :-D It was supposed to be more like a snake........ Well, I donít care now it looks like more like a pile carpet....... I think its cute :-)
I was freaking when I was doing it..... I am a person who is often in stressed so it was a hard time for me
I hope I am not the only one who likes it :-)

so cool! Just one question: how did you edit those pictures together? It would be very helpful if you told me :)

ok, sorry for such a late reply. If you are still interested in my reply here it is:
I don't remember how I edited these but recently I found a good site pixlr.com where I choose Open Pixrl express and then Collage. The editor connects the pictures instead of you.

hmm handy, thx, I'm just searching an easy way to put multiple pictures together. It would make it allot easier to show different angles without needing to post 3 separate pictures, I'll see if that site works, thanks for the reply ;)

Wonderful! My first 3D origami was a swan, very time consuming but you certainly benefit after hours of folding each module! Great work!

Thank you, I also remember my first swan. It was a birthday gift for my mum. When I started I didn't believe I would ever finish it and it was about two weeks before her Bday but I did it in time! :-D

That's the coolest dragon design I've ever seen. :la: Are the head and body separate? I can't tell...

Well.... It is not separated. The lower side, the neck is contunuing but the upper side behind the horns is begining from nowhere I hided it inside of the head.

Amazing. How long did it take you to do it?

Well, that’s a hard question.... I don’t know how long did it take to make the pieces but I think it took about 4 afternoons to join it. And the stress that it won’t stay together...

Really nice one, bravo! How many pieces is it?

That’s the point! I don’t know..... I know for sure that it has got more than 20 sheets of red paper which is about 640 pieces. Then I used about 15 sheets of yellow and about 10 sheets of black... In the end I think that I used more than 50 sheets which is 1600 pieces..... But who knows...... I’ve got a bad estimation..... My friend is saying that when she will be bored she will try to count it :-)
